Beautiful, feisty (at times) but cheerful Kay loves to reminisce about her horses.
She will gladly tell anyone who will listen about the steeds she owned and the shows she trained them for. Though she hadn’t been in the saddle for a long time, Kay’s passion for riding still burned in her memory as bright as ever.
It wasn’t hard for Hospice Social Worker Kiara to see how Kay longed for one more ride. So, she secretly contacted the Lorraine Bethea Hospice Foundation to see if she could make Kay’s dream come true. It was also Kay’s children’s dream to see their mom riding once again.
Not long thereafter, Kay was sitting tall atop a beautiful chestnut mare, under a bright blue spring sky. He children stood by, beaming from ear to ear. Kay was back in the saddle again. This was the best surprise ever.
Kiara sends a huge thank you to The Lorraine Bethea Hospice Foundation for making it possible for Kay and her children to horse around together, one more time.
